On a somewhat similar note, Eric Clapton and George Harrison remained good friends even after the one divorced and the other married the woman on the rebound. They jokingly referred to each other as "husbands-in-law".

And, population-wise we're something like four times larger than Germany.
So while I don't support parochial views of the world it isn't like even those not much concerned outside our borders are only looking out for some tiny patch of ground that you can drive across in a day (Texans joke their driveways are that long).

That night when the Texan retired to bed he pulled back the sheets to find a creature [a tortoise] in his bed. He called for his host and asked in colourful LBJ Texan language what on earth it might be. His host assured it was "just a good old English bedbug"!

No it was a remark premised on amusement, namely that so many men have so much to write about what is always going to be a woman's problem.
I wonder how many of you regularly write about the issues surrounding menstruation or the menopause, or labour and perineal tears, or the early days of breast-feeding.
I admit I've rarely seen any threads or comments by men about those issues.
