Lots of you conservatives claim that Islam promotes jihad etc etc; from that premise it follows that jihad is rational for a Muslim, yet here you are claiming that someone who is actually trying to carry it out is nutty.Last edited by Paprika; 05-04-2015, 12:35 PM.

Such is the life of one who avoids confrontation and the difficulties it entails. Statistically, it's a peaceful life, but if you wanted peace, you wouldn't be here asking questions about the nature of things, would you?

What a clear difference between a country where cops carry guns and a country where cops don't.Atheism is the cult of death, the death of hope. The universe is doomed, you are doomed, the only thing that remains is to await your execution...

Watching the news now. They're saying the unarmed security guard was shot in the leg. A single police officer with a pistol apparently killed both the bad guys. I'd like to applaud the very fine shooting on that officer's part."If you believe, take the first step, it leads to Jesus Christ. If you don't believe, take the first step all the same, for you are bidden to take it. No one wants to know about your faith or unbelief, your orders are to perform the act of obedience on the spot. Then you will find yourself in the situation where faith becomes possible and where faith exists in the true sense of the word." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer, The Cost of Discipleship
