Sounds like the SCOTUS didn't care for the claim that the program was illegal to begin with. Very close decison. And DOJ can bring up the matter again.Watch your links! http://www.theologyweb.com/campus/fa...corumetiquette

And I'd agree, yes.
The SCOTUS decision made clear that there's still room for DACA to be repealed. I strongly suspect this will never happen, though, because (aka. the real reason Republicans are trying) there isn't enough time for it to benefit Trump's re-election campaign. The whole kerfuffle was never about immigration...Last edited by Whateverman; 06-18-2020, 12:13 PM.

I just heard a news clip with Pelosi making a comment about how good DACA is. The funny thing here is that Pelosi has not pushed a bill to make DACA into a law. Why didn't the Democrats ever pass a bill on this? A bill would have made the outcome more secure. It really is hard to take Pelosi or the Supreme Court seriously on this.

This is not particularly the only country that most of these people have known. They likely still have relatives (for most of them) in the original country.
If there are no loopholes ... I would prefer that parents who enter the country legally with children under 10 years old (or some reasonable number) could have automatic inclusion of these children into citizenship when the parents get citizenship -- if the kids have not turned 18 years old by this time.
I know of one guy who was taken to Yuma Arizona for exportation. He was married to a citizen. I'm not sure what happened eventually. But I didn't want him to be exported.
People who immigrate are taking risks on their own future and that of their children. We can lose a sense of freedom and the principles that make us free when we have too quick of immigration from other countries.

DREAM act:
2009
2010
2011
2012
2017
Dream and Promise Act:
2019
So, the Republican senate, could, if it wanted to, next week take up the latest bill the Democrats passed in the House in 2019, the Dream and Promise Act, and pass it to make it law. House Dems have done their part by writing and passing the law, as you wanted.

Indeed. Can you please convince the Republican senators to vote for it? Thanks.
