Why in the hell would someone pull a fire alarm in order to get through an emergency door, just because he was "late?" - is he so important that he can break the law by making a false fire alert just to go through a door?

If you see a door that says it is an emergency only door and that you have to set off an alarm to go through it, a normal person would find another way out. He deliberately chose to set off the alarm. End of story.

Also why didn't he even follow the directions on the door and pulled the fire alarm manually?

This is what is being reported by people who have seen the video, and since the still image we have is consistent with these reports (signs missing from the doors, and Bowman literally caught in the act of pulling the alarm), I have little reason to doubt them.

This sign looks like it's just balanced on the panic bar, leaning against the door's glass, while the signs in the still above look like they're actually attached to the glass.
CLEARLY not the same.

Yeah the signs are not in the security video. If he removed them that makes it even worse. But there is still the standup sign right next to him in the still shot, that says the doors are an emergency exit only.

Some of the video footage that played in the Jan 6th hearings was video of some of the protesters up trees on Jan 6th.

It was overlaid with audio from Jan 6th of secret service communicating to each other about weapons they could see, or thought they saw, among the protesters. Some of the comments in the audio feed are about people up the trees with guns.

Whether the people depicted in the video footage are the same ones as the secret service were talking about isn't easily knowable because the audio and video have different sources and may be from different times that day.

So, yes, that will be where JimL saw the footage. And if you'd actually watch the hearings like an informed person, and not stick your fingers in your ears and then your head in the sand, you would no all that, and not be making such a fool of yourself on that issue.
