Is a Mother Hood different from Motherhood?

The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

That groups with more unwed mothers do worse financially.

So one working person makes less than two working people?

But it isn't comparing apples to apples. You need to compare the incomes of unwed mothers to see which group of unwed mothers does worse financially.

I don't know if all the families that stay intact do have two working parents. It is obvious that two parent families do better overall - on all levels BTW.

The point is that intact families do better financially.

It's very common in the UK that you need both parents to be working to sustain a livable income, or at least a comfortable one by generally accepted middle class standards. Not sure about the case in the US, but I got the impression it was the same. At one point one person could work to comfortably sustain a family, but this hasn't been the case for a long time now.

How do you know since they don't show how single moms do financially?

I think it is clear, as the rate of intact families diminish so does financial ability. I'm not sure what your problem is.

My son for instance is the only breadwinner in the home. He has a wife and three kids. He works a full time job and has a part time business. Ironically with his wife not working it has given him the freedom to work more.

One income is less than two incomes. Amazing observation there.
