Perhaps you could explain the distinction.

I'd rather not continue with a semantics argument. I'll just say that if you can get a majority of Americans to throw out separation of church and state, I'll go along with it. I don't see that happening, since it's such a popular policy... among Christians in the US.

and unless it can be shown that the people under discussion do not actually fit that definition, I tend to dismiss claims that someone is "no true Christian."
I merely state that 'I wouldn't think that there are many Christian amongst the power brokers', if you disagree it hardly matters to me.

Worded that way you would have to count Muslims, Mormons, and JW's. You need to have a specific definition of what being Messiah actually entails, as well as what "faith in" entails.

          snip
Not here to argue about that.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

I don't really care if someone who believes this but also holds highly unorthodox beliefs might still be saved - it's certainly not my business.

Jesus is Lord, that is, Jesus is YHWH. Which would rule out atleast Muslims and JW's.

Right. If it lets in Mormons (whom some of the Yankees Christians are frankly obsessed over) it hardly matters to me.

That's why Christians need to fight back.
