Trump is your example of "genuine right-wing thought"? I guess my statement above stands proven.Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return.

Originally posted by Starlight View PostOn some issues yes. Overall Bernie is just more consistently leftist / progressive than Warren. I would point to healthcare, and foreign policy as the two biggest differences. Sanders is committed to Medicare-for-all, Warren's not. Sanders is a dove on foreign policy and military funding, Warren is a hawk or close to it.
I am more skeptical of Obama's motives. I think he feels his signature accomplishment was Obamacare, and he doesn't want to see Sanders undo that. Sanders replacing Obamacare with something better would prove to America that Obama could have delivered them something better than Obamacare when he had a Dem supermajority and thus demonstrate Obama to have been a failure as a president.
Also, I'm not sure where you get the idea that Warren is a hawk. Could you elaborate?

Trump while being a relative centrist, is a sign that things could move rightward. As we have seen, this makes progressives panic, 'Roe might be overturned!!!!', "Trump is trying to ban transsexuals from the military!!!!', 'he's stopping immigration!!!!!!!!!!', etc. Some may call me foolish, and some may call me odd

That's three personality traits I would dislike in *anyone*.

It's a weird* thing that folks do, trying to elevate Trump to the role of president while demanding that his behaviors and actions be judged against people** who have never served in, or even sought, public office. Suddenly, when it comes to Trump, there's no higher standard for public servants.
