And now that it seems inevitable, as predicted, it is being reported that Manchin will also vote to confirm him. The left's smear campaign appears to have failed and now it's time to see what the political fallout will be. Personally, I can't imagine the left's base to be more riled up than they already are. And there are even signs of burn out (it is difficult to stay that furious for so long)

I really can't predict what the left will do anymore. they are

They'll do what they typically do when they lose. They'll claim that any decision where Kavanaugh's vote was a deciding factor is invalid and illegitimate much like how so many keep claiming that Trump's presidency doesn't really count (the whole "Not My President" movement and talk about impeaching him and voiding his presidency)
