Reading comprehension exercises consistently show that James accords with Jesus' pronouncements as recorded in the gospel accounts. Likewise Paul's pronouncements.

Those who proclaim that it is impossible to stop sinning (while a person remains in the flesh) fail to note that the believer is not in the flesh.

Whatever are you rambling about? Did I say anything about taking stuff with you when you died?

You don't have to believe what Christians believe, but you should at least accept what we believe as what we believe, rather than arguing against straw man versions of what we believe.

I would agree that a materialistic Heaven is ludicrous and antithetical to the rejection of materialism by Christ, the word translated as "mansions" doesn't mean a palatial estate but rather just a dwelling place.

Which has long left the OP topic of leftists using the courts to push their activism because they can't push it through legislatures.

          Again, fin.

            Wow your own self!

So a person can believe yet do anything they like, yet still be saved?

It goes to what we used to call "fire insurance" - people "getting saved" to escape hell.
Then we go into "easy believism" where somebody just 'repeats some words' - like Joel Osteen proffers at the end of his false gospel sessions.

What Jesus focused on in the NT was the motivation behind the deeds, where the OT seemed to focus more on the deeds themselves - sacrifices, rituals, ceremonies.

I've known men, for example, who "got saved" just to get their wife to quit nagging them about their eternal destiny.

It's like, to me, people taking the Ephesians 2:8-9 thing and ignoring the 10th verse. We are saved to do good works, we do not do good works to be saved.

But, why would a text written before we had modern technology mention having modern technology?

Sure, I could be wrong. It is just what I think, given that God created us as intelligent tool makers, creators, inventors. We are created in his image after all. Why would we live without having technology and creating and inventing things?

read it, ignore it, your choice.

But really in the end, what you think is not important.

Because that is what the bible says. Look it up.

Another literary reference flies high across your head.
Most likely, your references show how disconnected you are from people. Must be your autism.

Not all Christians believe that their afterlife will be an eternal idealised version of the suburban USA with all its material possessions..

Chapter 11 only goes to vs 36.

Yeah. But it was just an aside anyway, not really a main part of the argument.
