Do these people belong in Institutions? A rather primitive Medieval view. Do you recommend electric shock therapy. the guillotine, or a lesser punishment maybe water boarding as a cure.

The gist of the APA's findings is that there is no good reason why trangenders cannot live normal, fulfilling lives including, presumably, in the armed services. The main obstacle to normal living is identified by the APA as "lack of acceptance within society, direct or indirect experiences with discrimination, or assault".

As with all minorities, the real problem lies in social rejection. It is this "that may lead many transgender people to suffer with anxiety, depression or related disorders at higher rates than nontransgender persons", not transgenderism in and of itself.

What I find more interesting is Tassman's admission that such people belong in psychiatric institutions.

Trans people already work in the military and have been working in the military for years and there has been no discernible issue.

And there's people currently serving with undiagnosed depression, PTSD, and a wide range of psychological disorders. You seem to fail to understand that people, with issues serving, doesn't mean it's a good idea either. Now let's try this again. Are those who are transgendered more likely to suffer from mental illness, yes or no?
