Just watch this video starting around 56 seconds in. He can't remember what he is talking about, loses his train of thought, can't pronounce words. And this is all in context, it goes on for some time.
This is not normal.

What are you talking about? I watched the video and he's just giving a slow and thoughtful answer. There are several pauses where he's clearly deciding to choose his words carefully and not say the first thing that came to mind.

I'm sure if he was younger the whole process would happen quicker and the answer would sound smoother, but I see nothing there too concerning.

I'm wondering if Biden's case isn't something more closely related to Frontotemporal dementia (the disease that claimed comedian Terry Jones). The primary symptoms Jones was displaying was a combination of memory problems and speech problems.

A complete word salad.

It seemed coherent to me. Nothing compared to some of Trump's amazing word salads.

And for bonus points, unlike Trump, Biden managed to get through it without feeling the need to claim to be looking very strongly at elements of bathrooms, nor managed to claim that windmills cause cancer, nor suggested the use of bleach or HCQ or Ivermectin or any other quack remedy for covid.

Sure, being an order of magnitude more coherent than Trump and not peddling total nonsense is a low low bar for Biden to clear. And Biden can often be a bit of an old grandpa at times. Certainly some signs of mental deterioration compared to his younger days.
