Then there's the story (which I'm almost certain is a joke, but I suppose it could be real) about a woman in court describing her harrowing experience of being robbed by man who threatened her with a weapon. When the lawyer asked, "And is the man who did this to you in the courtroom today?" the defendant raised his hand.

Many years ago in what is probably a now defunct "men's magazine" called Oui, there was an article (yes, I read the articles ) called "Disorganized Crime" that broke down some of the most inept, idiotic criminal acts reported from all over the world from the 1920s to the 70s (when it was written) into categories like Robbery, Kidnapping, Murder....

I suspect that was a condition of him picking her. She never was a likable person with the plebs even before she was picked. There was no other reason she was picked other than she was a woman of color among other minority VP candidates.
