I see the moral equivalent as being that he does not have American security interests in mind, at least compared to personal interests.

I genuinely don't get the rush to defend him. Then again, Trump did say he could shoot somebody in broad daylight and that it wouldn't affect his poll numbers. I think he was right on that one.

People are defending him because this is a really dumb attack. There's so many valid things someone could criticize Trump for, and you decide to make a topic declaring treason on something that isn't legally treason and didn't even seem to be meant seriously? It's like that seizure topic about Hillary; of all the things to criticize, why pick something so completely silly?

I don't like Trump, but when I see incredibly silly attacks, I'll defend him. Same with Hillary, who I also don't like. If someone were to accuse either of them of being an extraterrestrial and thus ineligible to run for president, I'd absolutely "rush" to defend them of that claim because it's a silly accusation (even if it would, to a certain degree, make sense).

out of curiosity, what makes you think Russia is intent on expanding militarily, other than meddling in Ukraine, which is a country right on their border?

Correction, I referenced my law textbooks and this isn't a commitment of treason. I defended law, not Trump.

I don't think Trump was joking. I know it wasn't treason. And no, being unwilling to jump on the treason bandwagon isn't being a partisan hack anymore than being unwilling to jump on the Hillary has seizures bandwagon.

Nah, it's the sentiment I get from other liberals in regards to Russia, even aside from the fact that Obama and Hillary are clearly anti-Russia, both in actions and their rhetoric. It's really weird to me and I'm guessing it stems from the media stories that were circulating a couple years back about Russia being anti-gay? But I'm not sure. It's just really weird to me that you guys share the same sentiments as the necons when it comes to Russia. In any event, other than Crimea, which I mentioned in my last post, I was curious what made you think Russia is interested in military expansionism?

Sorry to interrupt! But feel obliged to point out that seizure thread was not attack on Hillary, just poll of opinion about video and diagnosis! Especially no stupid claims about treason!!

Actually, I was a paralegal for two years. I decided to leave law shortly before taking the bar. Decided to be a priest instead. lol.
