    It ain't real.
Are you 100% sure about that? Because I am convinced that there were people who really did see Jesus alive after the Cross. If I wasn't convinced by examining the evidence, I would not be a Christian. Even if the Christian worldview is just a fairytale, it still beats your sorry worldview! Since you are behaving like a strawman atheist from a children's book...

If it weren't for the Resurrection of Jesus, we'd all be in DEEP TROUBLE!

Keener covers this reaction. Your occasional protests otherwise notwithstanding, your skepticism is invincible. You will always find some way to disregard evidence presented. Even if a dismembered baby was reassembled and brought back to life right in front of you, with videocameras rolling and experts standing by, you'd chalk it up to a parlor trick where a live baby was substituted for the body parts by sleight of hand.

Since God seems to not like overriding free will, does that mean that Jesus would be unable/unwilling to convince Gary that He was God?

When you force someone to accept a fact unpalatable to them, it does not typically engender a loving response. Love depends on free will, AFAICS.

No kidding! So, God will give him exactly what he wants. Be careful what you wish for. God is the only source for not getting bored for eternity. Because God is not boring.

We are not having a competition about who's worldview is better. We are attempting to determine reality.

And after a very, very long discussion here on TW with all of you, none of you have presented any good evidence for your claim that a first century dead man walked out of his sealed tomb to hang out with his former fishing buddies and later fly off into space to never be seen again. Here is all you have:

              1. Four books which most scholars do not believe were written by eyewitnesses to the alleged post death sightings.
              2. Second century hearsay.
              3. Assumptions and generalizations about the beliefs and behavior of people living twenty centuries ago.
              4. "Tens of thousands" of miracle claims, but not one of them ever confirmed and published in a scientific journal by any respected, western, national medical society.

              That's it.

Your worldview may give you peace and comfort, but so does a teddy bear and a warm, fuzzy "blankie".

You fail history, biblical hermeneutics, sociology of the ancient world, and psychology forever! Silly mammal! See? Now I'm calling you by your taxonomical Class instead of Order!

Silly Christian fundamentalist. The scientific and medical establishments scoff at your silliness.

You have constructed a marvelous Strawman.

And there you have it folks; the foundational belief of the followers of the loving Jesus: Reject Jesus and he's going to Edited by a Moderator...or at least make you sit in a dark room for all eternity...depressed and lonely!

Evidence that this belief is a cult.

                          Sick.

Nah. Just that it is logically impossible to make everyone be happy for eternity. God can't MAKE you love(in the agape sense, not anything creepy) Him. If He did, it wouldn't really be true love and loyalty.

What are you talking about? Your belief is that he orders you to love him or he gives you a "time out" in Hell for all eternity. That is an ultimatum. That is blackmail. That is abuse. That is evil.

Nope. If you never did ANYTHING wrong to anyone else, then you would go to Heaven. The bad news is that none of us are morally perfect. We have all behaved in a shameful manner and do not deserve honor.
