Apologetics 301 Guidelines
If you think this is the area where you tell everyone you are sorry for eating their lunch out of the fridge, it probably isn't the place for you
This forum is open discussion between atheists and all theists to defend and debate their views on religion or non-religion. Please respect that this is a Christian-owned forum and refrain from gratuitous blasphemy. VERY wide leeway is given in range of expression and allowable behavior as compared to other areas of the forum, and moderation is not overly involved unless necessary. Please keep this in mind. Atheists who wish to interact with theists in a way that does not seek to undermine theistic faith may participate in the World Religions Department. Non-debate question and answers and mild and less confrontational discussions can take place in General Theistics.

Trolling or addled? Why does it have to be just one?

A miracle, a true to god, real life, defies all known laws of science, miracle. Carried out live, under laboratory controlled conditions and all broadcast, worldwide, on prime time TV
And not just "curing" some dumb schmuck of his backache, which might pass muster for average sucker who visits Lourdes hoping for an improvement in their general well being. Something more profound. How about, the full regeneration of an amputated limb. Surely not beyond the wit and capabilities of a deity as defined by christians.
There, sorry to be all reductionist, but that's what it will take. At least it would, for me, be a positive first step in the right direction.

Unless you ask a question about math, something that can only be answered with a "yes" or "no" or something along those lines you are going to get subjective answers to a question when asked. An opinion. Therefore it is not necessary to then respond with "that is your opinion" when you get an answer.

I wonder if everyone she asks a question of gets a sneering "That's just your opinion" in response.

And which y'all then decided were definitely written by your God.
So good luck on that.
But if you want to pull back the curtain and acknowledge you're looking to convince folks the Biblical Jesus worshipped most typically by evangelicals is the one, true heavenly king, I've long since noted the most clear, unambiguous argument has been staring at you out of your scriptures all along. That's what would work for me.
But until then, I'll keep noting that there's nothing your Jesus is reportedly able to do that the idea of your Jesus hasn't been doing just as well for the last couple millennia.

Well of course it is an opinion. That is glaringly obvious.

However, that still leaves unanswered the question "which direction is the right direction?"

You got the answer but didn't like it.

What does the religious experience represent or [more likely] replace?
