Well, if you have scorpions, you DEFINITELY want to "dump your boots" before putting them on, just to be on the safe side.

I see a lot of guys here in New England wearing cowboy boots - looks really out of place to me. I use either LL Bean Duck Boots or Wolverine 1000 Mile Boots. US made is important to me.

I used to have a nice pair of boots. They were western but not exactly cowboy boots. Nothing fancy on them. But I can't wear boots now. Can't stand any kind of footwear that covers my ankles.

Yup, I used to wear those boots for working cattle.

For those who might not know, the "pointed toe" on traditional cowboy boots was so your foot would slip more easily into the stirrup when you mounted a horse.

And, for stepping on cockroaches in the corner.

I have a couple pairs of those. Currently (as in, this instance) I'm wearing a pair of these Chippewas'



I also own near knee-high goth rock looking boots (which I haven't worn in ages),



And I JUST bought these (I think they're my first pair of Dr. Martens too).

No six-shooters, but yes to the rest of the Roy Rogers getup. My brother had a matching getup.
