I do remember my childhood phone number, because my dad's had the same phone number for 50 years now (we moved when I was in middle school, but he was able to keep the same number because we didn't move very far).

I don't remember the phone number we had in Maryland, but I do recall the pattern my fingers moved in so I could still call it.

I remember mine, too. And, coincidentally, after I was married, we owned a little tent trailer for camping, and the license plate was the last 5 digits of that old phone number!

It's hard to forget the last phone number of my parent's house. The last four digits were 5-6-7-8.

Before moving out I'd get calls from drunk friends needing to be bailed out who couldn't remember their own home phone numbers yet they sure remembered mine.

And my cousin who was a general in the army didn't realize that it was a sequence for several years until it dawned on him. He said he had the same barracks number during basic training and didn't notice it then either. For him it was 56-78.
