It's never going to be used again. Do you have any idea how long it takes to train people to fight these days? Foreeeever compared to even Vietnam, let alone the month they trained people for the army during WW2

Combat roles should be open to women... but they should have to pass the exact same physical standards as men. If they can pass, they get in. However, yeah, the draft should simply be abolished entirely.

Plus, most conflicts today are simply proxy wars. As much as warmongers loooooove to moan about China, Russia, and Iran, I seriously doubt that any of these nations would launch a full-scale war against the US or its allies. The only nation unstable enough to do that is North Korea, and North Korea is mostly just talk and bluster anyway.
