On the Democratic primary side... Chafee, Webb, and Biden are out. With Biden not running, Clinton's poll numbers have shot up as most of the vote that was going to Biden has gone to her. With Biden out, Clinton is now polling ahead of Sanders in Iowa, and making it close in New Hampshire too. Interestingly, the biggest difference between Sanders and Clinton voters is age... in today's Iowa poll, Sanders is beating Clinton by 44 points among voters aged 18-34. I'd say there's a huge long-term opportunity here for the Democratic party: Fielding Sanders as the candidate would have the potential to connect with younger voters all across the country and potentially get them onto the democratic side of the spectrum for life. Democrats are well known for doing well in elections when voter turnout is high, and that demographic is well-known to have issues with very low voter turn out... Sanders could potentially re-energize these young voters' interest in politics and get them into the habit of both voting and voting democratic.
Last two polls I see for NH were taken back when Biden was still an option: one Clinton +4, one Sanders +5. I imagine we'll see next week how the new polls distribute the 11 points going to Biden and Webb (Chafee was at zero points).

But employers most certainly can and do. Having an affair with an employee opens the company to litigation should that employee later claim harassment - and a permissive atmosphere makes it difficult to discern the legitimate from the harassing relationships. Hence, employers, knowing full danged well that qpq needs only ONE instance to be established (which can happen after a perfectly legit relationship sours), prohibit or discourage fraternization especially of those directly supervised. It doesn't matter how it started, the supervisor only has to make one threat and it won't matter how provoked or angry he/she was - harassment has occurred and the company is liable.

In cases where the harassment was intended, the company can make itself even more liable by having a permissive atmosphere and thereby failing to protect the employee. Somewhat harder to prove but begging for a big settlement.
Idiot. I'm not interested in your or C.P's argument, because company policy has nothing to do with what rogue, trying to paint Clinton the hypocrite, contended, which was that Clinton signed a law making these affairs within the workplace illegal. He didn't, and since neither of you can find the law, because it doesn't exist, you change the subject.

I think that Sanders running is a win for liberal/progressives even if he himself loses. Not that he wouldn't like to win, or that he isn't trying to win, but I think he understood from the get go that his actual chances of winning was a long shot. But just the fact that he is running on his progressive agenda, and doing as well as he is, will force Hillary and the Democratic Party further to the left where they belong. Hillary pretty much conceded to that in the debate when she was forced into admitting to being a progressive, but insinuated that she, unlike Sanders, was a progressive that could get things done. My vote is still going to Sanders, and I have questions still about Hillary's commitment, but should she win I would have no problem casting my vote for her in the the general.

People have been mocking her a bit for that comment, because when it comes to getting things done, Sanders has got a better record than she does. I guess that what she thinks she means is "I like some progressive ideas, but because I'm more of a centrist, I will be able to make realistic compromises needed to work with the other side and get things done." But I think that's a bit of a lie given the obstructionism of the current Republicans - they're not prepared to work with any Democrats no matter how much compromise is offered.

Reminds me of Fiorina's comment about "flying millions of miles" is an activity, not an accomplishment -- or something like that.

Yeah, as I thought, you've lost all track of the argument. You can't even accept the point concession because you are too confused and can't allow that you might be wrong about something.

You know I was going to post the same thing but then I remembered how NBC doctored an audio tape in order to make George Zimmerman appear racist. CBS and the Rathergate scandal. Reuters' staged, manipulated, and photoshopped images of Beirut. And on and on.

I'm getting skeptical of what the media "reports," period.

World Net Daily, IIRC (often referred to by its detractors as WingNut Daily). It's a rather sensationalist (and relatively extreme) right-wing site.
