But employers most certainly can and do. Having an affair with an employee opens the company to litigation should that employee later claim harassment - and a permissive atmosphere makes it difficult to discern the legitimate from the harassing relationships. Hence, employers, knowing full danged well that qpq needs only ONE instance to be established (which can happen after a perfectly legit relationship sours), prohibit or discourage fraternization especially of those directly supervised. It doesn't matter how it started, the supervisor only has to make one threat and it won't matter how provoked or angry he/she was - harassment has occurred and the company is liable.
In cases where the harassment was intended, the company can make itself even more liable by having a permissive atmosphere and thereby failing to protect the employee. Somewhat harder to prove but begging for a big settlement.

By all accounts the 11-hour Benghazi hearings as part of the 8th investigation of Benghazi, were an epic victory for Clinton over her opponents, with Clinton handling herself well and making the Republicans look bad for the farce they are perpetuating.
On the Democratic primary side... Chafee, Webb, and Biden are out. With Biden not running, Clinton's poll numbers have shot up as most of the vote that was going to Biden has gone to her. With Biden out, Clinton is now polling ahead of Sanders in Iowa, and making it close in New Hampshire too. Interestingly, the biggest difference between Sanders and Clinton voters is age... in today's Iowa poll, Sanders is beating Clinton by 44 points among voters aged 18-34. I'd say there's a huge long-term opportunity here for the Democratic party: Fielding Sanders as the candidate would have the potential to connect with younger voters all across the country and potentially get them onto the democratic side of the spectrum for life. Democrats are well known for doing well in elections when voter turnout is high, and that demographic is well-known to have issues with very low voter turn out... Sanders could potentially re-energize these young voters' interest in politics and get them into the habit of both voting and voting democratic.

So, AP is not so happy with the foot dragging by the State Department regarding the production of documents.
