        Er, no...

as Christians, we should be opposing these measures, however, we should still treat a fellow man with dignity and respect. You're not going to win any souls by being abrasive.

I can sympathize with that sentiment. However, I can also sympathize with the restaurant owners, and support their right to discriminate if it's legal. I think the people who make death threats should be tracked down and held accountable. That kind of thing just isn't acceptable.

Of course, the people doing the discriminating against the LGBT types are fighting a juggernaut wave of social change. They're not going to hold out in the long run.

As individuals. As a powerful collective we never should've allowed it to get to this point.

Agreed, don't alienate people. Remember there are lots of heterosexual marriages that are not strictly Biblical (what about marrying someone who had been divorced for unBiblical reasons ie incompatibility rather than the ex-spouse having committed adultery) and it would be hypocrisy to make pizzas for them if you are turning gays away. I know it is easier to spot an unBiblical marriage when it is a gay marriage and the fact that it is impossible to interrogate everyone before we serve them complicates this . Personally I would make pizzas for a gay wedding. I have thought about if I would make a wedding cake for a gay wedding, being that a wedding cake is such an personal item. I find it hard to imagine that someone would want a person who did not think their marriage should happen to bake and ice them a cake, but I probably would make one as long as they weren't requesting all sorts of Biblical verses etc as my conscience would have a problem with that (not to mention I would start questioning their motives for asking me to do that). At the end of the day if someone wants to enter a gay marriage it is their choice and we have to accept that. We need to keep the channels of friendship and communication open or it becomes counter productive.

I would draw the line at some things ie a bakery in UK was asked to bake a cake with the wording 'support gay marriage' (or something very close to that) and they are now being sued because they refused. It is obvious they were approached in order for them to refuse and a who-hah to be made over the whole episode. I don't believe someone who contrived to get Christians sued would accept a person's right to hold even such a view such as mine (I don't think gay people should get married though I do think that they should have the right to do so if they wish) and would be content to force me into the position of giving the impression I accept the whole hog when I don't. And therefore I would not bake the cake and take the religious persecution that came with that.

They should embrace their discrimination and stand up for what they believe in. Unless the rules change or they go out of business. Then they might have some problems.
They're not "refusing to perform a service to a class of people". On the contrary, they have said that homosexuals are welcome in their restaurant. They just don't want to compromise their values by participating in a gay wedding.

And this is just sick, but expected in the liberal "let's be tolerant" world:

The Head coach at a highschool posted that he wanted others to join her in burning down Memories Pizza.

At least the school took swift action and suspended her, and had her twitter account deleted. The police were also notified and are investigating.

                              Also:
Someone spoofed a Memories Pizza website (the business didn't have one) and filled it with gay pornography.
