And lousy furniture too. I bought a sofa from them and returned it the same day. I was able to lift it on my back - all by myself. It must have been toothpicks nailed together for me to lift it. Flimsy junk.

      1. It is not uncommon for companies to sell overpriced items. In fact I have been on Amazon where I found a book for $1000 which was later changed due to a pricing glitch.

      2. Its not uncommon for furniture to have human names. If you google your name its likely you may find a piece of furniture with your name on it.

      3. In terms of missing children on the furniture names, some have sadly been found dead: https://abcnews.go.com/Health/half-a...20found%20dead. Others have been found alive and well.

      4. This all started by a random user in the conspiracy section on reddit. Ever since then the user has not responded, various people have tried to contact this person for further questioning all to no avail. That should make you suspicious when a person makes a claim but fails to bring further information.

Sadly, despite evidence of debunking some will still hold on to the theory because it fits their presupposed worldview and makes things more interesting for them.
The video I gave shows that she was likely the one who got people looking at Wayfair. I think she avoided making any claims anything beyond just a question about what this was about. You may be addressing more specific theories that other people presented. (And I stated things in the OP beyond what the video claims.) However, your points don't explain anything pointed out on the video. There were some very specific unusual names used on the cabinets -- not likely something of accidental match. Your observations don't explain why names were applied to cabinets with the same picture and same descriptions. The prices definitely were not justified by the descriptions or photos of the cabinets.

Also, the names of books on the shelves deserve scrutiny. If the company wants to have freaky names on books in the backgrounds, they deserve getting negative attention for that.

There may be other explanations than you gave, but overall the details provided do deserve some examination. If there are nefarious things going on here, it helps to bring these findings to the public. If the company is creepy, why not make that known. It is the Wayfair's fault that they are being exposed for this creepy stuff.

FWIU, they don't make it but rather sell stuff made by a whole bunch of different manufacturers. When you do that it wouldn't be surprising if at least one of them made crappy stuff.

Yeah, I think things like this need to be thoroughly vetted before passing them on.

Holy Moly, I had no idea about this. Is this what you were referring to?

So I did some checking to further my point on various claims being made. I went to the Wayfair site and typed in both my first and last name. My first name yielded 1,648 results with various item prices ranging from $100-$809, and my last name yielded 163 results interesting enough I found a rug that has prices ranging from $289.99-1,079.99 with that last name. I also typed in my name into a missing kids report and the first thing that pops up is a link that shows a person with both my first and last name has been missing since 1987. So it is not surprising to see people with similar names come up. I am sure if anyone here tries that experiment they will get similar results.

This may depend how unusual the names are. Did you find any cabinets with different names but with the same picture and same description?

It is partly good to investigate what you have done, but this investigation is still incomplete. I searched two unusual names in my extended family and did not find them. I searched a few unusual names from a graduation ceremony and some gave like 90 matches. One gave a match but actually didn't show the name on the item found.

It is too bad that the test of names was not done originally upon finding the $16,000 cabinets.

So, your finding is not too helpful if the names are very unique. (but we can readily expect that Wayfair removed all the standard business cabinets and the throw pillows priced above $10,000)

At this time, there is not much to expect to find on the Wayfair site. When I reacted beyond the content of the video, I had been aware of a related technique for hiding certain child-porn images revealed through clues on the internet. So, I combined the ideas in my mind as I saw the video.

Oh right. You should report that you know your whereabouts now.

I was actually accused for working for Wayfair when I tried to show the evidence.

The younger generations seem vulnerable to quick assumptions and to assigning terms to people to end the discussion. The schools seem to teach what to think instead of how to think. The joining of white women into the BLM protests derives from this inability to think. These women see any opposition to their views as just being the systemic racism. This is the behavior that was demonstrated in the microcosm of the Evergreen College in Oregon.

You are showing an intellectual approach -- to investigate some details.
