Elizabeth Warren ends her presidential campaign

Jim, I live in Connecticut and have known about Lizy for over two decades. She did write some good things in the past, the Two-Income Trap wasn't bad. But all she did this last election cycle was to pander - having a trans child give the final OK on her Secretary of Education? No one, and I mean no one, thought she was authentic in the least - including the Democrat electorate.

Actually, I think the reason you don't like her, seer, is her authenticity. Like many Americans, you're happier being lied to, ala Trump. There are many in the democrat electorate that are no more politically astute than Trump supporters are. The difference is that democrats believe in government for the people, republicans believe in government for the wealthy.

• Her fake claim used to advance her career that she's Native American?
  
• Her untrue claim that she only started saying she was Native American while she was at Harvard?
  
• Her concocted assertion that her parents were forced to elope because her mother was part Native American?
  
• Her plagiarizing recipes claiming they were Native American cuisine family recipes?
  
• Her false denial that her kids never attended private school?
  
• Her fabricated claim that she was fired from a teaching position for being pregnant?
  
• Her made up declaration that she's the first woman to take the New Jersey Bar while breastfeeding?
  
• Her fraudulent promise to the voters of Massachusetts that she would serve a full term if they re-elected her Senator in 2018?

Shall I continue?

And proclaiming that "Trump is worse" is hardly a defense of Warren or evidence for this supposed authenticity.

Which of course explains why they keep rigging primaries and debates so that the candidate the party elites have chosen wins and not who the rank and file members vote for.

College costs skyrocketed after the government 'nationalized' them -- something IIRC Warren supported. Thanks Liz.

But now she wants parents who couldn't afford to send their kids to college, and those who couldn't afford to go to college themselves, shoulder the burden for those who went. How is that fair?

No, she wants the 75,000 people in the U.S. with $50 million or more in wealth to pay a 2% annual tax which would not only make college free, but would also cancel the trillion or so of debt for those who previously had to take out loans to get them through college.

And btw, there are a number of companies out there like McDonald's and WalMart that provide substantial scholarships to employees who are attending college. You can also do a tour in the military and get a scholarship as well. It isn't like there aren't any options.

Good, they won't have to do that anymore and so can pay their employee's a living wage.

The current plan doesn't work, and you don't really have a clue as to whether Warrens plan would work or not. It's not like, whether Sanders or Warren, they're just going to snap their fingers and get it done. But at least they've done the work, at least, unlike the republicans who couldn't care less, they recognize the problem and intend to do something about it.

It tells me that people are confused and afraid, not to mention traumatised, that a more progressive candidate might not be able to beat the wannabe dictator, Trump, so their opting for what they believe is the safer alternative, the more moderate candidate, in Biden. Plus, she's a woman.
