FYI before your start praising South Korea's socialized medicine...

Pay attention to that last paragraph: a private company was able to ramp up production only after the government got out of the way. Interesting, isn't it?

Whatever S. Korea is doing, it's working to stop the spread of the virus. They aren't closing down entire provinces.

Sorry, do you have a point or are you just trying to score points? The US has largely private healthcare, it produces what, 1,200 test per day on a population 6x that of S. Korea, three months into the crises?

I had thought about that. How potential quarantines would affect church gatherings, and how the church would respond to that.

Unfortunately I don't think the Trumpsters here, including Trump himself, understand the importance of testing as a means of counteracting the spread of the virus.

I forgive you. And yes, the point is that S.Korea's successes can not be reasonably attributed to government bureaucracy.

The logical fallacy in your post is so glaring btw, that it beggars belief that you post with a straight face.

Ironically, if you re-read your earlier post, it can be attributed to such bureaucracy - who created demand for the tool? The planning and procedures to deal with such a crises, including the use of external tools, also government bureaucracy. It's not like it wasn't the government that said we will fight this, and deployed the tools across its entire economy, public and private, to do it. I don't assume private can solve all problems, that doesn't mean it can't solve some problems, and vice-versa.

Meanwhile, do you have a response to the lack of testing in the US? No, of course not, you take one point from a post you have a response to, and ignore everything else, like the usual troll you are. Your little chump champion, meanwhile, says that it's not his responsibility, doesn't know what's going on in his own government and blames everything under the sun for the failure of an adequate response.

Domestic production of test kits was ramped up weeks ago, thanks to government bureaucracy getting out of the way of private industry (gee, that sounds familiar), but these things take time. The good news is that kits are now being produced in significant numbers and are being shipped across the country. Trump announced today that drive-thru testing could begin soon.

(The latest liberal spin on that last point is that Trump hates people without cars. Seriously. )

There is also grousing about how the CEOs and such at Trump's speech weren't diverse enough.

Not in S. Korea, they take time in the US - where the people that matter haven't taken the issue seriously. The crises started months ago, not weeks ago. Assuming what you say isn't garbage.

But spin away, you talk so much garbage anyway - who actually believes what you say these days?

Yes, and Trump has been dealing with it for months, but Democrats were too focused on their impeachment scam throughout January to bother doing anything useful. Instead, they mocked Trump and accused him of racism when he tried to restrict travel from infected countries, and even now Democrats are demanding that the President be stripped of his authority to close the borders.

And those numbers are the result of a lack of testing. The actual numbers could be in the millions right now for all we know. According to the Ohio Governor the suspected number of cases in Ohio alone is over 100,000. They expect that number to double in 6 days!
