  • Trump Isnt Impeached Until the House Tells the Senate

    nancy stumped.jpg

One of the Democrats' favorite lawyers says it's not "impeachment" until the Articles are passed to the Senate.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

Don't expect that nuance to be reported by the mainstream media, or make its way into the consciousness of your typical low-information liberal. As far as they're concerned, Trump is a duly impeached president.

If Trump gets wind of it, he'll blab it loud and strong, and the MSM will be forced to argue against it, thereby giving it coverage.

        Also, the article is paywalled...

              the gist of the article:

I do think he is wrong about there not being able to be a trial if they don't send the articles though. The Senate could just dismiss the impeachment based on there not being any case presented to them.

Yeah, the way the Democrats have mucked this up, it really doesn't deserve much from the Senate.

It just goes to show what a train wreck the Democrats have foisted on the American people.

The argument makes sense. I suppose it would be similar to the House passing a bill but then never sending it to the Senate to be ratified, which in effect would render the bill null by default.

Or a jury deliberating a case but never handing their decision to the judge. In the vast majority of cases, the jury foreman either reads the verdict, or hands it to the bailiff to read or... the judge doesn't proceed until she gets the actual decision in her hands.

Semantics. He can't go to trial until the House impeachment manager is named and then he delivers the Articles to the Senate.
