While all that may be true, these polls are what the left was intending to use to put pressure on the Republicans in the House and Senate. That the polls didn't show an increasing desire by the American public to impeach Trump as they figured they would, and instead show the public actually soured a bit on the idea, is just a case of them essentially getting hoisted by their own petards, and some folks more than happy to point that out.

Granted, the results are often misused - but don't make the mistake they did of assuming those micropolls are always right - one large grain of salt, please.

Honestly, I think this fiasco is now totally untenable for the Dems - and the indications for Trump and the RNC in 2020 are excellent.

But it's never wise to bet on the race when the horses are just being unloaded from their trailers.

There are indications of changes in the AA polity - I wouldn't be surprised if the poll is in the ballpark (or not) but the degree is unclear.
