Want to argue about politics? Healthcare reform? Taxes? Governments? You've come to the right place!
Try to keep it civil though. The rules still apply here.

It turns out that air-conditioning is sexist because the customary temperature for the office environment is set at a level that is comfortable for men in suits leaving the poor women in their short skirts and cute tank tops to freeze. Also, we should give up air-conditioning because people in third-world countries get along just fine without it, and so should we. So says a writer from the New York Times, pecking away from the comfort of her air-conditioned cubicle.
It's curious that the article did not include details of the Times' new air-conditioner free policy as they lead the charge to right this wrong. Must have been an oversight.

The fact that the values and laws of today are quite different to the social values and laws of say, the Bronze Age means no more than we have developed and socially evolved since the tribal morality of that distant era.
