Cornyn has supposedly indicated he will not run again, so it will be O'Rourke with all his name recognition vs. probably a no name Rep. candidate. I strongly dislike O'Rourke. Not just because of his platform but his lies about not taking ANY PAC money, when a check on the FEC site clearly shows millions of dollars coming from at least one PAC called ACTBlue, which the FEC site also designates as a PAC. In El Paso when on the City Council he represent the area and voted for condeming or using emiment domain to force barrio residents he represented out...meanwhile, the developer proposing this was O'Rourkes Father in law.The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy...returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. I can't really come to any conclusions on the basis of this link. It does appear to be more red than blue - but solidly?

I suspect this is one of the major reasons that Peurto Rico and DC will never be admitted as states - it would shift this balance because both are pretty solidly blue. The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy...returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. I wonder what this will do in 2020? Florida apparently passed Amendment 4, which restores voting rights to felons who have served their sentence and are now free. Apparently, it's some 1.5M people. It was generally pushed for by most Democrats and generally opposed by most Republicans in the state. The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy...returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. As I noted in another post, the Senate is always hard for Dems for the simple reason that there are more lightly-populated red states than the more heavily populated blue states. In general, Blue is northeast Atlantic coast (down to Virginia, which is now kinda purple), upper midwest, and Pacific coast. Pretty much everything else is red. So the Dems cannot take the Senate without having some Red State Dems. Te Republicans can take the Senate with no Blue State Reps. So the Senate is continually a battleground, with the advantage going to the Reps. The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy...returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.
