More like her motives for taking the test, and immediately triumphantly trumpeting the results as vindication, is my guess.

Also the fact that Indian nations have said that they don't recognize DNA tests and that tribal affiliation depends on proven ancestry (as in you know who your ancestors actually are and have documented proof) and support of and interaction with the tribal community.

In spite of weak denials on her part I think it is pretty clear she used her claim to advance her career and now that claim appears to be ending it.
