I think part of it is that Warren simply didn't understand the results. All she saw was "There is some native American DNA in your blood" and began her victory dance without comprehending just how negligible the amount of DNA really was. Unfortunately for her, she had already rolled out her "Suck it, Donald Trump!" campaign and was fully vested in the false narrative before she realized the truth, but by then it was far too late.
