I think we all know that the "trade war" is mostly a battle of words, at least for now. But it is having impacts domestically. This is typical of stories from various sources. Although there is a tendency for most of the stories to be arising from center, left-of-center, and far-left sources, it is even showing up on the right.
It seems to make sense to me that a trade war, if it actually starts, could have significant negative impact on the economy. Couple with the fed adjusting rates and undoing quantitative easing, the potential for severe braking exists. Given that the tax cut is dependent on significant growth to pay for itself...it raises some questions, especially in an election year.
