          • Remember the 13 Russians that Mueller indicted, and how I said they would never appear in court? Turns out I was wrong. Some of them hired lawyers to defend themselves against the accusations

But here's the twist (you knew there was going to be a twist, didn't you?): Mueller doesn't want to show the evidence. The problem is, the accused has a right to see the case against him, but Mueller is claiming that it would expose national security secrets, and so he has asked the judge to keep the evidence hidden.

I don't see how the judge has any choice here but to demand that Mueller either give up the evidence as required by the law, or drop all charges.

            • Way to go with the maximum spin MM!

Mueller's submission is interesting because it says:
              1. There are still Russian operatives actively continuing to try to manipulate election outcomes in the US to this day.
              2. Mueller plans to indict further people for election manipulation.

As to MM's gratuitous spin, it's not that Mueller doesn't want to show the evidence to the court to prove the defendant guilty, it's that Mueller doesn't want to give all the evidence to the defendents' lawyers months in advance of the case getting to court. Mueller's simply asking to hold off on making the evidence public until the case actually gets to court because there's information in the evidence that Mueller's going to use to indict further people in the meantime.

So why issue indictments then knowing full well that you'll have to show the accused the evidence? Do you think Mueller is that inept to do something even some third tier county prosecutor knows better than to do, or was he grandstanding and showboating trying to pretend he had something when he didn't?

Dude these conspiracy theories make you look insane. He's not running for election. He's a prosecutor. He's not filing charges to make himself look good, he's filing charges against people he's got evidence against. He's not saying he doesn't have evidence, he's saying he wants to hold off for a couples of months on releasing the evidence publicly. The schedule of events in criminal proceedings gets altered regularly by the judge and by the parties involved, it's not like this is highly unusual.

                        • I like how Mueller, a conservative Republican appointed FBI director by Bush, and now appointed special counsel by one of Trump's own Republican appointees, has somehow turned into a "Democrat" in the minds of Trump and Trumpite posters, and is supposedly leading an anti-Republican witch hunt.

Bingo. It seems that Dirty Cop Mueller never expected anyone to call his bluff, and now that they have, he doesn't want to show his cards.

Like I said, I don't see how the judge has any choice than to demand that Mueller turn over the evidence as required by law, or dismiss the charges.

I like how disconnected from reality your POV is. Assuming, for the sake of argument, that Mueller is a conservative Republican, why would you equate that with "pro-Trump"? There is a Republican contingent steadfastly anti-Trump, and I've never seen anyone characterize Mueller as anti-Republican - only anti-Trump.
