You have to remember that the Greens in Germany (and elsewhere) are staunchly anti-nuclear likely because it's so much better than wind or solar not just in energy production, but also in preserving the bourgeoisie lifestyle. Wind and solar are much less reliable and so to go them completely means the opportunity to reshape society. This is why they had no problem reverting back to more polluting forms of energy production even if it meant funding Putin.
