Frankly, I really don't care what you think about anything. You just blather on in every thread and basically butt your nose into matters that you know nothing about.

Are Christians able to exhibit mercy, or do you leave that to atheists?

We have mercy for the taxpayer.

If you are feeling merciful then let you contribute to Khadr's payout.

Just love how the atheists are so loving and tolerant of others except Christians who have legitimate issues with the politics of the country they live in, especially, when said atheists do not live in those countries and don't have to pony up hard-earned bucks to give to convicted terrorists.

The payout to him works out to 28c per person in Canada. I bet that 28 cents is absolutely crippling to your pocket-book and your hard-earned bucks...

I shouldn't have to pay anything. You want to, you go right ahead.

And now you and Tass can get out of this thread.

This atheist is perfectly tolerant of Christians provided they keep their nonsense where it belongs, namely in their churches and their own homes, and stop trying to impose their beliefs on everyone else via the legislature.

What does mercy have to do with giving jihadis cash payouts?

Liberalism in a nutshell: Mercy for murderous jihadis, destroy grandma's pizzeria if she won't cater a gay wedding.

                      Are atheists undogmatic?

The study examined whether atheists are "undogmatic," found that while atheists and agnostics measured lower than religious people in "self-reported dogmatism" (non-religious people seem to consider themselves more open-minded) but were actually rated higher "in subtly measured intolerance of contradiction and myside bias."

This case definitely looks weird from the outside, but without more information its really hard to anything but guess.

if he was an enemy combatant who was held as a prisoner of war, then he was an enemy to Canada as well. DE is ri- er rig - um NOT WRONG. He should be banned from Canada and the USA and any other western country and sent back to Afghanistan and just be grateful he wasn't executed instead of held at Gitmo. He should not be paid by Canada, or allowed back into the country. He made his choice. He should live with it. 15 or not.

Khadr has his cheque already. The only time in history a government has acted quickly.

I guess word got out that lawyers who prosecuted him in the States were going to court today to try to block the payout.

Good old Little Pierre decided to get it done quickly before that could happen, regardless of a petition from the Canadian taxpayers numbering in the tens of thousands for him not to do it.

                              Yippee.

Finally, we get an official statement from Little Pierre:

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the Charter of Rights and Freedoms protects all Canadians "even when it is uncomfortable," responding to a question about his government's apology and controversial payout to former Guantanamo Bay prisoner Omar Khadr.

"The Charter of Rights and Freedoms protects all Canadians, every one of us, even when it is uncomfortable. This is not about the details or merits of the Khadr case. When the government violates any Canadian's Charter rights we all end up paying for it," he told reporters in Hamburg, where he's wrapping up the G20 summit.

Dear Justin, does this mean that when you tell me that I am "homophobic" because God calls homosexuality a sin, or "islamophobic" when I show concern over bringing so many refugees into this country that it puts a strain on all government services, like the latest Supreme Court ruling on "hate speech" states, that I can sue the government of Canada because my Charter rights and freedoms have been violated?

Hah! HUGE double standard, and HUGE hypocrisy and HUGE government bullcrap!
