The thing with Trump is that he's bound to give them ammunition in the not so distant future. It was incredibly stupid on his opponent's part to continually fabricate charges since this will likely lead to a "Boy Who Cried Wolf" response from the public.

He did come across as a disgruntled former employee. Leaking information and then claiming it was because of one of Trump's tweets -- which came out the day after the New York Times got the leaks.

Well Comey today seems to have been fairly clear in his view that Trump was trying to obstruct justice. His motives for today's hearing seemed to be to try to build an obstruction of justice case against Trump. And he says he leaked his memos in the hopes of getting a special prosecutor appointed.

Also, Comey flatly called Trump a liar at five different points in his testimony. "Those were lies. Plain and simple," Comey said, referring to Trump's comments about him after his firing.

In other news, everyone's saying McCain appeared to be seriously ill at the hearing. Most commentators thought stroke and that an ambulance should be sent to him immediately. Others had a slightly more optimistic interpretation that he just had a cold and was high on cold medication.

I think it's safe to say that Comey is not the most credible witness at this point. The mainstream media and their low-info audience are trying to make a big deal out of the fact that Comey claimed Trump was lying, but so what? At the very worst it's his word against Trump's.

Meanwhile, reports say that Trump was relaxed today, and when asked if he was going to Tweet rebuttals throughout the hearing basically responded with, "Why bother?"
