  • Apparently New Zealanders have been responding to the visit of the US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson by giving him the middle finger to express their feelings about the US pulling out of the Paris Agreement...

Bird-flipping welcome for US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in New Zealand:

US media travelling with Tillerson were surprised by the number of people flipping the bird at Tillerson as his motorcade sped through town.

New York Times correspondent Gardiner Harris said he had been in a lot of motorcades but even he was taken back by the negative reaction.

"I've been in motorcades for a couple of years now ... I've never seen so many people flip the bird at an American motorcade as I saw today," Harris said.

Harris wasn't the only one who noticed - US protection officers travelling by with Tillerson were overheard joking about the "warm" Wellington welcome.
"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump
"Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism" - George Orwell
"[Capitalism] as it exists today is, in my opinion, the real source of evils. I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy" - Albert Einstein

It's not really his fault, poor man. He's paying the price for Trump's arrogant stupidity. Tillerson himself was in favour of the Paris Agreement and has been trying to downplay the significance of Trump's withdrawal ever since. Although not in the least bit helped by The Twitter-in-Chief sabotaging him!

I know you progs are in mutual onanism over ''we showed him!!!!'', but once that is done I have just one small question:

Why would he care about foreign peasant rabble???
Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return.

He's already made it abundantly clear that he only cares about US "peasant rabble" and to hell with everyone else. He'll learn, perhaps too late, that isolationism has never worked for the US.

Also there were a few protesters despite the winter temperatures and rain:

Probably staged by CNN though, eh Mad Gerbil?

If we could get the Trump protestors and the Islamo-fascists to sync their calendars...
Actually YOU put Trump in the White House. He wouldn't have gotten 1% of the vote if it wasn't for the widespread spiritual and cultural devastation caused by progressive policies. There's no "this country" left with your immigration policies, your "allies" are worthless and even more suicidal than you are and democracy is a sick joke that I hope nobody ever thinks about repeating when the current order collapses. - Darth_Executor striking a conciliatory note in Civics 101

MM, the problem with you is that if Trump signed the agreement you'd be defending the signing. You just can't be taken seriously!

No I wouldn't. I would actually be kinda pissed at Trump if he sold out America after the promises he made.

Oh really, so are you pissed at him for promising not to touch medicaid or medicare and then supporting the sociopathic House bill that would take 900 billion out of them and pass it on to the very wealthy in the form of tax cuts.

I think it's fairly classy actually.

A UK opinion piece today was calling for the same treatment of Trump. :
