There was nothing improper, irregular, or illegal about any of their business dealings and zero evidence there were any attempts to influence the election.

You want to find collusion with Russia? Look at Hillary, the Clinton Foundation, and John Podesta.

So? He still won where it mattered.

Except in US presidential elections, electoral college votes are the points, so Trump got considerably more points than Hillary.

It's like hits versus runs in baseball: a team that has the most hits will lose the game if they have fewer runs.

...and lost the popular vote by a considerable margin.
To give you an idea how the accusation that Trump colluded with the Russians to steal the election appears to have floundered, Democrats, in their desperation, are now reduced to soliciting for tips on the internet to help them make a case.

Eric Swalwell (D-Calif), who is actually a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence as well as the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Subcommittee on the CIA (and thus privy to a lot of inside information regarding inquiries into this matter) has actually started a new website imploring supporters to "Help me connect the #TrumpRussia dots. Submit your tips & we'll follow the evidence & post online."

It generally is a sign that someone realizes that there just is, as Gertrude Stein so famously put it, "no there there" when they are forced to try such last-gasp, do-or-die tactics.

No, it's like what I said. What matters in a game of football is who scored the most points, not who scored the most touchdowns. What matters in a presidential election, like it or not, is the electoral college, not the popular vote. Quite frankly the popular vote should be regarded the same as voter turnout percentage: An interesting thing to note, but ultimately not the decider of who actually wins.

Maybe you don't like the rules, but acting like the rules are something other than what they clearly are, like you're doing, is just plain silly.

Nearly 3 million votes is considerable enough.
Not when you consider the fact that over 100 million votes were cast.

The important stuff is the FBI investigation into collusion between Trump campaign aides and Russian banks and oligarchs in an attempt to influence the elections in Trump's favour. This investigation is still ongoing.

            Irrelevant! See above.

Such investigations tend to go on forever but Swalwell who is very likely to have a good idea how they are proceeding (though not necessarily the exact details) tips his hand by starting a tip line on the internet begging people to "Help me connect the #TrumpRussia dots. Submit your tips & we'll follow the evidence & post online." This is a desperate ploy by someone who knows that there just isn't anything there.

I find your obsession with this amusing but only because you'll learn the importance of integrity in government in short order.
You see liberals have been training the American public to accept that idea that politicians don't ever have to answer for their treason.

I almost wish Trump was guilty of treason and that it was proven so that your jaw could hit the floor when he isn't called into account for it.
Let the rest of the class known when you're actually interested in the rule of law instead of selective application of the law to 'the other guys'.
Actually YOU put Trump in the White House. He wouldn't have gotten 1% of the vote if it wasn't for the widespread spiritual and cultural devastation caused by progressive policies. There's no "this country" left with your immigration policies, your "allies" are worthless and even more suicidal than you are and democracy is a sick joke that I hope nobody ever thinks about repeating when the current order collapses. - Darth_Executor striking a conciliatory note in Civics 101

first Tassman was talking about TRUMP being linked to the russians fixing the election. so no they have NOT said that. If they did then why are they still investigating it? all you have are anonymous US sources who have made accusations.

They are still investigating because they don't have all the facts yet. There is already evidence of collusion, but they don't end an investigation until they connect all the dots, not just some of the dots.

I cannot imagine giving even the slightest consideration to another country's politics.

In fact, I try to distance myself (and fail) from American politics by trying to live in the reality of this place not really being my home.

No there isn't. Unless you consider perfectly innocent, regular, and legal business associations to be "evidence of collusion".

Don't get your heart set on this, Jimmy, because it's going to be broken, just like it was on election night.

That's difficult for me when I work beside a Britisher who is unequivocally liberal in persuasion and the (vocal) guy a couple doors down is representing those suing the Trump organization for this 'n' that.
