It is always fascinating to see those on the left insist that conservatives never have any plans but rather just gripe. I've been hearing that one since at least as far back as the Carter years.

First, they plan on reeling in some of the runaway spending that the Democrats have been doing. No more orgies of throwing Trillions of dollars into what for all intents and purposes are bonfires while having the Treasury Department running 24/7 printing new money.

Second, energy costs have been a major factor in rising inflation, and they want to alleviate much of that by making us energy independent again. They'll have quite the battle with old Joe but it will be clear that he is nothing but a roadblock. That also has the nice side-effect of helping to defund Russia and pay back OPEC.

Third, rollback some of the regulatory actions and social spending that has exacerbated the supply line issues that have also worsened inflation.

Fourth, get ready for a huge fight regarding raising the debt ceiling. Another issue that has contributed to inflation.

While you will never hear any of this mentioned on TYT videos and their allies, they have put forth a number of proposals that are essentially pro-growth tax and deregulatory policies that if enacted will increase take-home pay, create some high-paying jobs and bring stability back to the economy.

But even if all they accomplish is reeling in the drunken spending spree that the left has been on (and just look at all we have to show for it ), which with a hostile Senate and President who demand more, More, MORE, might be all we can expect, it will have a profound effect.

I'm always still in trouble again

If the Republican House can't do anything constructive, they might as well keep themselves busy with investigations.

Please stop repeating this falsehood. You have been corrected on it a number of times now. The US is still energy independent and that has not changed.

They might need to, but that doesn't mean they will be able to. I suppose they could threaten to shut down the federal government if the senate and Biden won't go along with withholding Garland's paycheck, but I doubt that they are willing to sacrifice their own jobs to get at Garland.

I guess it depends on how one defines "energy independent". If it means we export more than we import, then we are still energy independent. But if it means that we don't need to import any oil, then we haven't been energy independent in my lifetime.

Raising the debt ceiling doesn't contribute to inflation. It just lets the US pay its debts.

In fact, if you want to see inflation really take off, just don't raise the debt ceiling and have the country default on its debts.

Yeah, you say "gridlock" like it's a bad thing. It actually keeps either side from doing anything too extreme.

With a majority, they can withhold funding for the DOJ and FBI specifically.

We were energy independent when old Joe stumbled into the White House and on his first day started signing executive orders (while notorious muttering "what am I signing?"), including ones that ended that.

                          This is an indisputable fact.

The left always offers black and white choices on these things when there are other alternatives to continuing as we are or defaulting.

I don't think it's fair to call people goons just because the Democrats hire them.

Most of them are probably just looking for a job to feed their families.
