You yourself noted the popularity of moon landing denialism is among millennials.

Still disappointed with Owens though. She's otherwise very intelligent.
She sounded incredulous that moon-landing science existed in 1969, when she should be incredulous that moon-landing fakery would exist at that time. And beside the fact that Soviet scientists were watching our every move - and those scientists accepted it. And they would be the first to look for fakery.

Poor Candace is simply out of her league on this one.

Apparently denial of Hellen Keller and pro-flat-earth and 'mudflood/Tartarian Empire' are the new popular ones amongst Gen Z. Moon landing denialism is so 90s-00s

I think she is just trolling. Thus the "Light hearted fun" comment.

Besides, everyone knows that the moon doesn't exist.

You and rogue06 just had to eat all of that cheese. Luckily we were able to set up a gravity generator and hologram projector to make it look like that never happened.

You conflated youths’ distrust of government with their distrust of science. Most young people today don’t doubt the achievements of science. Rather, they distrust the economic and political system they were born into, which clearly has been broken for some time.

                  Well, kinda, yeah, but...

                  Then there's stuff like this...

New survey results: Almost 9 in 10 young people feel scientists and politicians are leaving them out of the COVID-19 conversation

NASA landed the first man on the Moon 50 years ago this month on July 20, 1969. The Apollo 11 mission saw astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins fly to the Moon and back. But half-a-century later, conspiracists still doubt NASA with one-in-10 Americans accusing the space agency of faking the Moon landing. A new poll conducted ahead of the 50th Apollo 11 anniversary has found the highest number of these so-called truthers fall within the millennial age bracket.

My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism. James 2:1

There's currently a Gen Z conspiracy theory that Hellen Keller was an actress who faked her deaf-blind disability for notoriety, etc. It varies from her willfully doing it to it being a plot by Anne Sullivan and she was just a pawn.

It can be tempting to be anti-establishment for its own sake.
