It seems that a better naming convention would beA) Hot - loaded with live rounds
2) Warm - loaded with blanks
c) Cold - not loaded at all.
But I go back to my primary position on this - the person who is going to use a weapon for any purpose should be the final authority on the firepower of the weapon - and if he/she is incapable of discerning that for themselves, they need not to be in possession of a firearm at all.The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

Baldwin was assured the prop firearm was a “cold gun” — meaning it did not contain ammunition — by the assistant director who handed it to him before he shot it, according to interviews in an affidavit released by the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department.

I'll see if I can find the source for that, but at the time, I thought HOW STUPID!!!!The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

The buck absolutely stops with the person firing the weapon. The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

Seeing some reports (right now from the Daily Mail and a few entertainment sites so take it with a grain of salt) that some of the crew took some of the prop guns to go plinking beer cans with live rounds. Which would explain how the round got in the gun.
I was wondering if it would turn out to be something like that.

Also, where did the beer cans come from? Drinking and Plinking are not compatible. The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.
