After all that squawking and squeaking about how it was nothing but a pack of lies that camp Hillary was involved in starting pushing the story that Obama wasn't born in the U.S. you're now declaring it is irrelevant. I hope you didn't strain your back dragging those goal posts out of the stadium and clear across town

I guess now that there isn't just one witness but four who say that Hillary's right hand hatchet man was personally urging reporters to investigate the story that Obama was really born in Kenya gets a bit hard to hand wave away.

I'm always still in trouble again

"You're by far the worst poster on TWeb" and "TWeb's biggest liar" --starlight (the guy who says Stalin was a right-winger)
"Overall I would rate the withdrawal from Afghanistan as by far the best thing Biden's done" --Starlight
"Of course, human life begins at fertilization that’s not the argument." --Tassman

pretty sure that liberals hate both Bushes equally.

If it weren't for camp Hillary originally pushing the birther story in the first place there never would have been anything for Trump to glom onto.

It was never totally considered a pack of lies, but indeed it was a pack of exaggerations. It cannot be hand waved that Donnie Boy continued the farce conspiracy for five years claiming phony sources that the birth certificate was a fraud.

I like those huge portraits of Trump paid with non-profit foundation funds!

No I do not hate either, but I do favor the son as a moderate Republican, and would consider voting for him for president, but of course, a moderate has snow ball's chance in Hell of getting the nomination today.

I do not like the father and his presidency, but that does not involve hate.

                  Seriously?
Most liberals think Bush Jr was one of the worst presidents in US history. Most liberals think Bush Sr was fairly average, and the best Republican president since Eisenhower.

Unlike you, liberals don't just mindlessly hate and oppose the opposition party and its presidents, but actually judge them based on nuanced criteria.

Maybe you are thinking of Reagan.

A lot of liberals hate Reagan. He introduced Reaganomics / neoliberalism, and did a lot of other terrible things (e.g. Iran-Contra etc). I've seen liberals put him on par with Nixon because the Reagan administration had a huge number of scandals, and more administration officials were investigated and indicted than in any other administration in US history.

I am sorry but your opinion is so funny.

Do you even remember Reagan or Bush Sr? Were you even born then?

Yes, but I wasn't following US politics closely at the time although Iraq 1.0 was a big event when it happened. However, it amazingly is possible to talk to other liberals today who were following politics at the time and have views on history, and to read things people write, and so it's possible to learn about and talk about things that happened even before I was born or before I was following US politics closely.

Reagan has been post-hoc lionized and deified among conservatives, particularly by Rush Limbaugh and a few others, for no real good reason. But that unjustifiably high opinion of him is not particularly widely shared among liberals. Most liberals view him as an incompetent moron who preferred to spend his time watching TV and left the business of running government to his appointed advisers, and his contribution to government was reading speeches they had written for him off the teleprompter when asked. And as a result there were ongoing power struggles among his advisers for overall control of the country which caused the Reagan administration's policies to lurch randomly back and forth over the years depending on who was calling the shots, leading them to randomly lower and raise taxes etc. Not only did the administration manage to support the Taliban and to bungle everything from the AIDS crisis to dealings with Iran, the competing advisers managed to have endless scandals among themselves causing the investigation or indictment or conviction of 138 administration officials, the largest number in US history in any administration. Meanwhile Reagan himself seems to have been trying to hide the fact that he had Alzheimers for most of his presidency. And it's worth mentioning that contrary to the beliefs of some conservatives, neither his speeches nor his policies 'defeated the soviet union' - his administration's policies weren't all that different to previous administrations on the subject and the factors behind the collapse had been at work some time.

Naw. If memory serves he's barely old enough to remember them. He's like in his late 20s or something (not to mention on the other side of the planet). He's just regurgitating what he's heard other 20 year olds saying.

Which is why Reagan won his second term by one of the biggest landslides in American history, right?

Most political commentators and historians I read / listen to / watch are substantially older than that.
