Trump's moved a bit to the left in the general and Hillary's moved a bit to the right, so they've now crossed over (in the primaries, political compass had Hillary to the left of Trump, I think rightly so).

There's probably not a phrase in the English language that describes me less accurately than that one.

Yes, social policy too, that is why political compass uses 2 dimensions rather than merely one dimension for their charts. Do you not understand that?
I think "low-information moron" is a perfectly accurate description of you. "Dunning-Kruger Effect" is another phrase that comes to mind. Let's just put it this way: Anybody who thinks Hillary Clinton is a right-winger is a low-information moron by definition.

You say you disagree with Hillary on nearly everything? Really? Gee, I had no idea you were opposed to "free" healthcare and "spreading the wealth around" through higher taxes and increased spending on entitlement programs.

As far as the whole "authoritarian" vs "libertarian" scale on Political Compass, I really don't know what to make of that, either, since they're rather coy about their exact methodology and criteria for determining who falls where on their little chart (their FAQ explicitly states that they consider this information proprietary and will not release it to the public), but considering their screwy sense of perspective on economic policy (Hillary is right-wing ), I think any reasonable person would be right to dismiss their conclusions.

That chart is somewhat meaningless. Left and right is not defined in any meaningful way.

More goverment means less liberty. If we depict the far left as total goverment control then the far right would be anarchy.

We need goverment, laws to protect what is right. But goverment needs to be limited so we can have liberty - not anarchy.

Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: . . . -- 1 John 5:1 KJV

In history the further right and left you go the more similar the politics and they both promote extreme control oligarchies or simply totalitarian governments.

so since the democrats like shuny and JimL hate Bush so much and think he is an idiot and a loser, then if he is indeed voting for Hillary, shouldn't they be running away from Hillary as fast as they can?

So an anonymous source is good enough for you here but three named sources aren't good enough for you when it concerns Sydney Blumenthal's shopping the rumor that Obama was born in Kenya around.

That would be a positive sign of the times.

And he thinks Obama is a right-leaning moderate and fiscal conservative.

That's below the belt, Sparko. You know Shuny never checks the source.

That might explain the reason for Bush, but what explains the neocons like Kagan and Wolfowitz? Though this might be a slam against Bush fanboys, this is actually a positive in favor of Trump.

I was not offering this as an exclusive alternative. I think both of the other two options also contain explanatory relevance.
