In fairness, I can see how Baptists might not be especially avid Hillary supporters. Though your picture doesn't convey the crowd size very well; the article said about 3,000 people attended.

This is not just "Baptists", though. It's the National Baptist Convention, which is predominantly African American, which she considers "her people".

Two of the Pastors in my Thursday Morning Pastors' Prayer Group are African American Pastors. They were surprisingly anti-Hillary.

I doubt there were 3,000 in attendance. The convention hall wasn't quite as empty as the one picture makes it look, but if other photos from the event are any indication, it'd be generous to say that 1,000 people were in attendance.

And now, we are being told that we need to "put the polls in perspective"

            http://www.wsj.com/graphics/election...n-perspective/

And we get more number juggling to make Hillary look stronger and Trump weaker than they both really are.

Is this like Romney's "unskewed" polls?

The interesting dynamic of this election is that both candidates have such high negatives that an "October surprise" is unlikely to shift the needle much.

It would have to be a pretty sensational surprise.

Wrong, it's actually 42%, not 48%. See, you should actually check out fivethirtyeight rather than some conservative site quoting fivethirtyeight. But unfortunately for the country, not to mention the world, Trumps chances of winning have risen according to the polls. But thats okay, in the end most republicans, as well as most democrats, are going to vote their party no matter what, so as usual it will come down to those objective minded voters who are actually paying attention. The debates will be a huge factor, which is why Trump is peeing his pants over concern about the debates right now. He's afraid of the moderator set up where he will actually be asked to answer questions as if he actually knows something rather than trying to fool people by simply demeaning his opponent all night.

Trump is now up in several critical swing states, and this is despite various pollsters giving Hillary a significant advantage by oversampling Democrats.
