I'm seeing reports that parts of the plane is washing up. I'm surprised - the Malaysian plane took well over a year to show up, didn't it? Conditions must be very different between the Mediterranean and the China Sea (?).

Yep, I just heard that Greek officials are saying it's not wreckage from a plane.

There is some evidence that the plane was the victim of a mechanical electrical failure and fire in the electrical system. This does not mean it could be a terrorist act that caused it, but the conclusion at present the actual cause of the electrical fire and system failure is unknown.
