China's domination in alternative energy sources.

Whilst China is still needing to burn fossil fuels for up to 60% of its energy needs, it's clearly showing the way forward in development of alternative energy sources.

We are all having difficulty in weaning ourselves off the dirtiest sources of energy, but China seems to be leading the way to clean energy supplies.

Or do you think that your country/area is cleaner? If so, tell us all about it.

Soar Energy:- Beijing is set to further increase its manufacturing and installation of solar panels as it seeks to master global markets and wean itself from imports.
A research unit of the European Commission calculated in a report in January that Chinese companies could make solar panels for 16 to 18.9 cents per watt of generating capacity. By contrast, it cost European companies 24.3 to 30 cents per watt, and American companies about 28 cents.

Wind Energy:- China will have built around 1,300 gigawatts (GW) of wind and solar capacity by the end of 2024, the CEC expects, meaning it will have already exceeded its official target of 1,200 GW by 2030.30 Jan 2024
China's wind, solar capacity forecast to overtake coal in 2024

Wave and Tidal energy:- Wave power installations are undergoing sea trials. China's technology in these fields is among the best in the world. In March, the country's first megawatt-scale tidal stream station was hooked up to the grid in Zhejiang and is expected to generate at least 1 GWh a year.

Funny how then it is coal-powered plants that they keep building at a rate of one per week rather than wind farms or the like.

I'm always still in trouble again

Readers were invited to tell about what their own countries/states are doing.
But you've got nothing to offer, it seems.

He just pointed out the hypocrisy of China and you just showed how you are willing to ignore what is truly going on in order to spread your propaganda.

Maybe you can explain why they aren't building a windfarm a week rather than just another polluting coal-powered plant?

Seems that they are far from convinced by the propaganda that you swallowed hook line and sinker.

Ha ha! What's this? Sparko's Truth Social?

China's wind, wave, tide and solar generation constructions are amazing.

            Do stop your muck chucking.

Now, let's see what your country is doing, can we?

Come on, rogue..... Tell us all about what the USA is doing on the fields and wind, tide, wave and solar energy generation.

You can tell us about why countries are still constructing coal fired plants as well, by all means.

This would be a fantastic breakthrough in your first balanced posts, free from rogue-truth-social junk.

Btw, we've been reducing the amount of greenhouse gasses

U.S. Leads in Greenhouse Gas Reductions, but Some States Are Falling Behind That headline is misleading. We've cut emissions by 8% but there are other countries that have cut it by more.

U.S. cut climate pollution in 2023, but not fast enough to limit global warming This headline implies it is up to us to reduce the world rate, but China continues to produce more than not just us but all of North America, Europe and India combined. This serves to show how that is determinedly ignored.

If they are so dedicated to green energy, why are they continuing to build so many coal powered plants instead of alternative energy plants? They are using more coal than any country in the world. Where other countries are transitioning from coal to clean energy, China is expanding their coal power generation.

How come that their green energy production is so large, as well,?

I think that you are just a contrary character, Sparko. You would be just as negative if I had started a thread about Democrat green energy policies in the USA, or whatever.

Raise a good comment about anybody you hate and you'll be chucking bricks....... or that's what it looks like.

And it isn't like these coal-powered plants are just temporary constructions only to be used until all of those green energy plants that they aren't building instead of coal-powered plants, can come online. They will be used for decades to come.

But they have to build the coal-powered plants to keep those incredible electrical vehicles on the road to save the environment.

Let's not forget the mining done by child laborers to extract various rare metals needed in the batteries. They work in order to keep Greta from having her childhood "stolen."
