Apologetics 301 Guidelines

If you think this is the area where you tell everyone you are sorry for eating their lunch out of the fridge, it probably isn't the place for you

This forum is open discussion between atheists and all theists to defend and debate their views on religion or non-religion. Please respect that this is a Christian-owned forum and refrain from gratuitous blasphemy. VERY wide leeway is given in range of expression and allowable behavior as compared to other areas of the forum, and moderation is not overly involved unless necessary. Please keep this in mind. Atheists who wish to interact with theists in a way that does not seek to undermine theistic faith may participate in the World Religions Department. Non-debate question and answers and mild and less confrontational discussions can take place in General Theistics.

You appear to be suffering from the delusion that this is a win for Dr. Ehrman. He should stick to fields in which he's actually qualified.

You mean like Haley Joel Osment in The Sixth Sense? He knew dead people too.

Ah, apologists Gary Habermas and Michael Licona strike again with their of the resurrection.

Lemme know what it is you think this proves, k?
The standard CP argument, it seems, when incapable of addressing the topic under discussion. Sad.
You appear to be confusing "not willing to refute the same tired argument for the 1,000 time" with "incapable". Sad!

You're much better at rational conversation when you don't have skin in the game. When your conclusions are assumed as fact and set in adamantine, like they are here, interacting with you gets tiresome fast.

In a way, the impossible faith thesis has been around since the book of Acts.

"Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ".

And the disenfranchisement of women was justified by the likes of texts such as: 1 Timothy 2:12 "I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet".
