Most cops will tell you (I would assume Canada would also be included) that most arrests related to drinking at a restaurant or bar happen between midnight and 3 AM.

IOW, using the pandemic as an excuse to prohibit something they don't like.

I'm always still in trouble again

I hated going to work at 3:30AM not just because I had to get up that early but I would get pulled over by the police asking what I was doing out at that time.

I don't think the government has an issue with drinking. But for some reason they think that it will make a massive difference in spreading The Virus.

              Because drinking always lowers inhibitions.

Yeah, and there won't be distancing and masking when your inhibitions are lower, and maybe you'll go home sooner if you can't drink after 10.

I would think that's the logic, yes.

                    Yuh.

But they aren't touching the churches!

                    Yet.

                    • That was short-lived.

The province is bringing restrictions in again. Churches must only allow 1/3 capacity, and all people have to be masked.

Unvaccinated persons are not allowed to attend ANY indoor social gathering.

Along with this new draconian measure, the Premier, who has been very vocal against proof of vaccine, now has caved, and there will be "discretionary proof of vaccine" for businesses that choose to demand it.

We don't even know what's going on with the lawsuits against the government that started last year. The government will not provide proof of any of this except for their "projections"/

The court dates keep being pushed off. So, I expect Pastor James and Pastor Tim will be arrested again after this Sunday.

Edit to add: I guess the new measures don't come into affect until the 20th.

Which is interesting, because that is Federal Election day.

Edit again to add: It's very confusing, some of the restrictions start at midnight tonight, who knows what the heck is going on!

                      • So they're calling the proof of vaccine measures that are up to a business's choice "a restriction exemption program".

                        What a bunch of malarkey.

This "restriction exemption program" so far only seems to be affecting the hospitality industry..........so far..........

Honestly, for me, that is reasonable. Just like a business is allowed to refuse service to those not wearing a shirt and shoes.

It’s better than a sweeping mandate for sure, but I don’t doubt, in spite of Kenney's former stand against it, that it will come. They already have things set up so people can get one if they want to.

As of now, we are “allowed" to just show the paper that we got from the place where we were vaccinated.

I can see yellow hypodermic needles with the circle and line through them on sleeves in my mind's eye now.

                            • Those in power making these outrageous mandates must not be truly Canadian, because they've offered no apologies.

It's illegal based on the Privacy Act to ask somebody whether they've received a certain medical procedure or not, including a vaccine.
