Yes, the GP limit is the maximum price for buying/selling. In time, I'd expect you to have minions to do a lot of the more mundane crafting.


The distances are kinda large, I agree, but it's based on an Earth-normal planet. I think there are a few ways to get around it. I could (and may) drop the distances somewhat within reason. Your idea of setting up base and relocating later is a good one, too. I think you could get away with creating some very unique items and have them shipped (maybe send a lowbie party to escort it). If placed in a very particular setting, the uniqueness of the item should allow you to use a Teleport Circle back and forth between cities. Spart's Horizon Walker has Dimension Door which can also be used (with some chance of damage unless the route is well-known) to traverse places quickly.

With Spart's dimension door and my character's carrying capacity (especially when enlarged), we can almost be a caravan on our own. I can take more than another 1,000 lb of stuff without even exceeding my light load, double that when enlarged. Anyone want to buy a bag of holding? I've got no money left for that.

How about start at Rhory, Cawic is near enough if we wanted to buy and sell. Rhory is far from the sit of power (far from politics). And the people of Rhory may have more need of us since their military is low.

if this is so, i can drop my ring of evasion 25,000gp and increase the enhancement of my shield. I can buy this ring in the big cities but i don't know if i can buy a powerful shield (better that what i have plus the additional enhancement).

Certainly not from scratch, but we might be able to hire people to improve the items that we have, which costs less but could take a long time, during which we'd have to go without that item.

I do not know what else to put in the armour so i put the fortification.

arrow deflection is only for shields, and the spined shield is basically no better than (and does less damage than) your bow, since you can use your bow with the shield animated. The only advantage to firing spines from the shield is that you don't use up ammo (but you're unlikely to use up all of your arrows in one adventure, since your main focus is melee combat) and you don't need to put your swords away and draw your bow to shoot (which only takes one round).

I thought i i can put arrow deflection in the armour. i will put it in the shield then. what can i add to my armour?

oh.. drawing a sword and drawing a bow is only one round.
