Why are some villains so memorable? I honestly enjoy talking about characters and what drives them. If anyone is interested in a thread going over some of the greatest villains in fiction let me know.813981-4796503-img211.jpg

Lobby Guidelines
You've made it through the revolving doors and now you can mingle and mill about. If you feel like spamming, please head down the hall to the right to the RecRoom. But, if you'd like to meet people, chat about nothing in particular, you know...have polite conversation that doesn't seem to fit easily into any of the other rooms, this is the place!
The Lobby is not for serious debates, there are other areas for those types of conversations. It is more for relaxed chatting or discussing things that don't fit elsewhere. Politics, religion and philosophy have their own place on the site
But remember, always play by the rules: here

I'm always still in trouble again
"You're by far the worst poster on TWeb" and "TWeb's biggest liar" --starlight (the guy who says Stalin was a right-winger)
"Overall I would rate the withdrawal from Afghanistan as by far the best thing Biden's done" --Starlight
"Of course, human life begins at fertilization that’s not the argument." --Tassman

Before there was Griffith before there were parasytes there was a writer named Go Nagai who wanted to write a story about the dangers of war paranoia and misunderstanding.
He would write many stories but Devilman is perhaps his most influential work. A horror series that asks you what separates humans from monsters can humans be monsters and can a monstrous human still be considered human.sigpic

One has to wonder how much weight their is in Anderson's statement that he became a monster so he would not have to cry.sigpic

For two more very different examples...
Mugen from Samurai ChamplooLupin III who is a brilliant, cocky and lecherous master thief who tries to come across as suave but isn't.

Here's another
Remy from Black Lagoon who is a short-tempered, nihilistic homicidal maniac who interestingly becomes increasingly more like Rock, the caring diplomatic "salaryman" betrayed by his company whereas he slowly becomes more like her. They had a great discussion concerning their philosophies while aboard a sunken Nazi U Boat.
I really like this anime although it can get really dark and troubling at times -- especially the episode with the twin children.
