This is being virally blamed on Fox News, because people can't differentiate between local Fox Network affiliates and Fox News.
"I am not angered that the Moral Majority boys campaign against abortion. I am angry when the same men who say, "Save OUR children" bellow "Build more and bigger bombers." That's right! Blast the children in other nations into eternity, or limbless misery as they lay crippled from "OUR" bombers! This does not jell." - Leonard Ravenhill

Tass, please take your hatred for Murdock to another thread, OK? This is about two slain officers. Please do not post here again.

Cops from all over the Country (and some foreign countries) turn their backs on the big screen where de Blasio is speaking.

DeBlasio is a scumbag. To make matters even worse, he's a socialist scumbag responsible for the type of laws that got Garner killed, so that makes his behavior even more disgusting, since he's complaining that cops enforced the laws passed by people like him.
"As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths." Isaiah 3:12

I don't think you can make me understand how not letting a union run the accounting office, advocating against a controversial practice, and acknowledging systemic racism mean a person is so much an enemy of the NY police that using a funeral to stage a nonsensical political protest is reasonable in any way.

If de Blasio had even an iota of class, he would have excused himself from the funeral, citing the need to allow the family closure with those who actually supported the fallen.

How does he not actually support the fallen?

You really are pretty dense. The act of turning their backs on the cowardly politician was a statement that you can't sell the cops down the river, then try to make political hay by showing up at the funeral and pretending to be honorable.

How is he cowardly? How did he sell the cops down the river? The major grievances I could find were baseless.

There's the issue of salary and pension negotiations, which didn't go badly for police, they just weren't as generous as they wanted them to be.
There's the advocating against stop and frisk, which is the correct position to take considering how most of these stops result in nothing but increased racial tension.
There's the remark about/to his son, which is just common sense.
There's the invitation of Al Sharpton to the round-table discussion, which makes sense considering how loud his voice is.
There's the hiring of Rachel Noerdlinger, which while a mistake for other reasons, was opposed because of someone else's actions.

The problem, as I see it, is a corrupt and greedy union that is angry people aren't letting them have unrestrained power.
